Monday

Block B - you have a quiz tomorrow.
1. Reading time for short stories term assignment. I will begin marking the responses tomorrow night. I still have the speeches from Block D/H to evaluate tonight.
2. With respect to the delivery of speeches: a few students expressed disappointment that there would be no opportunity to share their speech with others. I would like to invite those of you who want to read your speech to an audience to let me know that is your wish. Please do so in the next few days. We will hold a celebration of speeches this Friday. I will get back to you on the best time once I have checked what else is going on for Grade 11s. My preference would be to hear the speeches beginning at 9:30. Everyone from either of my English 11 classes is welcome to attend. If you have friends you wish to invite that is fine. We can make it a competition if the participants wish, or we can just leave it as a recognition event.
3. The final draft of your speech is now late. Your final opportunity to submit is Friday morning. If I do not receive your speech by then, it will not be accepted. Please submit to Office 365 AND send me an email to let me know I should go into our class space to evaluate your work. Use this email: dadamsonline@gmail.com.
4. How have new forms of technology changed what skills you need to evaluate and analyse news/information? Give one Get one process. Share results. Write ideas on your handout.
5. View video:  https://vimeo.com/135514612   After viewing, What was your biggest take away?
