Wednesday

  1. Non-fiction novel "autograph" is due today
  2. Drama terms and devices handout. Socrative game. 
  3. Soliloquy movie comparisons for the “original” Macbeth and the modernized Macbeth. We looked at the videos again to help with the completion of the charts.
  4. Macbeth's soliloquy, " To be thus is nothing..." On the script, brainstorm and write down all the assumptions you have about what is going in MacB’s troubled mind.
  5. Select the assumption that you believe best captures the BIG IDEA of the speech. Write it on your post-it.
  6. In your group, one-at-a-time, choose someone else’s assumption strip. The person in your group with the longest hair gets to go first. The first person (i.e. person with the longest hair) will ask the person whose assumption they chose, 2 questions about their assumption. After the third answer is given, that person chooses an assumption they want to know about, and questions its author. This continues until everyone has spoken about their assumption statement.
  7. Write all over your copy of the soliloquy to show your understanding of it as these conversations about Macbeth take place.
