Friday
1. Language for today: Klingon! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9UEIQtafww
2. Sharing traditional stories and determining the value or the message in them. Visit with 3 classmates and listen to their traditional story. In your W2 Learning Evidence make a small chart that includes the name of the traditional story, the country of origin and the traditional values (ex. sharing, giving, balance, respect, etc.) that the story expresses. I will start you off with "The Owl and the Raven."
3. At the end of the story sharing activity: Explain how language, especially in the tradition of oral storytelling, is directly related to a culture and a group of people. Why do people of different cultures use stories?
