  3. Complete last few poetry in film presentations.

Thursday

  1. Go to library to pick-up a non-fiction silent reading book.
  2. Complete a few more of the poetry in film presentations.
  3. Complete our look at “ Packing for the Future”. Listen to and read the poem by Lorna Crozier. Create your own version of the poem on the copy with blanks that I created. Don’t put your name on your poem. “Publish” around the room. Share!
Wednesday

  1. Poetry in film presentations / line of poetry that “speaks” to you.
  2. Lorna Crozier’s poem “Packing for the Future” - pick an object to carrying things into the future (backpack, garbage bag, Louis Vuiton satchel, Samsonite suitcase, cardboard box - draw that carry-all and start filling it up with what you need for the future: objects, emotions, abstract concepts ( ie. education).
  3. Look at the contents of Cheryl Strayed's backpack in "Wild"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn2-GSqPyl0 and how she carried her burden for more than a 1000 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, abandoning things and lightening her load as she went. Last work period during class time for the MGP - due this Friday.

Monday

  1. We decide Tuesday's work period for the MGP during class time.
  2. Suggestion: don’t leave progress reports in your folders. They are fluttering out of folders and ending up on the floor for all to see.
  3. Poetry in film: pairs presentations  and individual presentations of a line of poetry that “speaks” to you.
