Today is Brown Bag It Day! Woot! Woot!
1. Create a Video Ant account. Create a new "Ant" by importing a short video clip into Video Ant. Try adding a few annotations just to see how the program works. It is really user friendly.
2. Work on your term 4 novel blog. I will be checking these next week. I will be giving you a small grade /12. I am looking for an established blog where the title of your novel is clearly displayed; the blog style suits the novel; a few enhancements to the blog template are evident.
3. Begin searching for a suitable documentary and documentar clip to analyze in Video Ant.

Wednesday
International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia
1. Read your novel time.
2. Documentary example for today: Touching the Void https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtnqVZEktyg - trailer; Wolf Pack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDbqcMfUdlI
3. Working in groups of no more than 4, define the film technique assigned to your group and explain its importance - why would a director choose to use this shot? What effect does the shot have on the viewer? Come up with a "memorable" way to teach the importance of this shot to the class. Create a short "documentary" that features this one type of shot to get a point or story across to your viewers. I don't think we can put video into Office 365/One Note, so we will post them to this blog instead.
4. Block D - Big Natty Daddy
Authors and audience: Who made film? What is the central question it tries to answer? Who is target audience?
Messages and meanings: Who or what is on the screen most of the time? Who is the voice of authority in this film? Are there voices left out? What is the main technique used to communicate the message of the film?
Representations and reality: Which of the film's points are facts and which are opinions?
