1. Reading time for term 4 novel - reminder about blogging! Bring your novel tomorrow so you can work on your blog. 
TOMORROW IS THE DUE DATE FOR YOUR AD DECONSTRUCTION FINAL DRAFT. I WILL START EVALUATING THEM ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

4. Complete your group research on a type of documentary film: things to think about

 - narrative/story     - and how it is presented
 - editing                - types of shots: rapid cuts between shots, long, short, juxtaposition, cutaways
 - cinematography  - how does the camera shape our perspective - framing, lighting, colour, pans,                                         tilts, angles, tracking
 - sound                   - dialogue. music, sound effects, voice overs, narration, interviews
 - mise-en-scene      - locations, people, sets
5. Present your documentary type findings and example to the class - take notes.

4. In small groups, you will be researching the elements and styles of each. You should also come up with a short list of examples of documentaries (3-6) that use the mode you researched. Once you have investigated this documentary mode, your group will present their information while your peers take notes. Your presentation should include at least one clip from a documentary film representative of a variety of the approach you researched.
